Create a one-of-a-kind coiled basket using colorful fabrics, yarns, and fibers in this playful, all-levels workshop! Learn techniques for wrapping, coiling, and embellishing with tassels, pompoms, beads, and more. All materials provided, with plenty of room for your own creative touches.
Each basket will be a one-of-a-kind expression of your own style and imagination. This workshop is open to all levels—no prior experience required. A wide variety of gorgeous fabrics and yarns will be provided, and you’re welcome to bring additional materials of your own.
Materials Fee: $25 cash (payable to the instructor on the day of the class; cash only)

– Fabric scissors (if available)
– Sewing needle and thread
About Vicki Assegued
Vicki is an experimental and innovative fiber artist and national instructor, always finding new and unique ways to work with textiles and fibers. Through her creative process, she explores many ways to weave, layer, attach, coil, tie, knot, twist, build and develop her pieces so they are vibrant and engaging. When teaching, Vicki shares all of her techniques with her students, supporting and inspiring them to fully engage in their own creative process of discovery and expression. Her students make gorgeous and unique pieces and feel truly inspired by her teaching to dive deeper into their own artistic practice. Vicki teaches at art schools and retreats around the country, and exhibits and sells her work.
