(5 students minimum; 12 maximum)
Learn many techniques for creating a truly unique and stunning art piece, with multiple layers and textures of fabric. You’ll create a base, covered with beautiful overlays of fabric, surrounded by shapes that extend outward, giving the piece added shape, dimension and excitement.
There will be plenty of demonstrations, both technical and aesthetic. The final piece will hang on the wall.
No sewing involved. Perfect for beginning through advanced artists!
Materials List for Students to Bring:
- Fabrics – such as second-hand clothing, fabric scraps, cushion covers, lace, place mats, trim, sheets, etc. Any type of fabric will work except thin silk.
- Fabric scissors
- Regular scissors
Instructor will supply: Many fabrics, iron-on adhesive, all necessary tools, substrate, backing
