Two-Day Collage Workshop at O’Hanlon Center for the Arts
Explore color, texture, magazine images, and personal or found papers to create a series of 4–6 collages that tell your unique story.
Day One:
- Create custom papers using tea staining, crinkling, stamping, and more.
- Incorporate your own photos (printed in advance) into your work.
- Learn simple composition techniques and color theory to begin your layouts.
Day Two:
- Refine and layer your collages, adding final touches with pencils, paint, or stitching.
- Discuss tips for gluing and stabilizing your pieces.
- End with a supportive group share at the “magic wall,” reflecting on each collage’s personal meaning.
All levels welcome. Come ready to rip, stain, and layer!
