Course description:
Create one-of-kind artful botanical prints using natural dyes, local foliage, heat and water. Design and ecoprint silk and paper with botanical collage.
Learn to:
Tracy Flanagan dyes and ecoprints cloth and paper using ecologically sustainable local leaves, flowers, and pigments.
These techniques transfer brilliant and unexpected plant colors and images to repurposed and redesigned cloth. Using natural products extracted from the earth and plants, heat, and water, she breathes new life into fabrics and paper for rebirth and reuse, telling a new story of connection between place, fiber, and person.
She believes that hand marked fiber is ‘everyday art’ and can heal the body and spirit.
