Photo Transfer Workshop – Margot Harford
Photo Transfer Workshop
Facilitated by Margot Harford
Saturday, April 25 | 11 AM – 4 PM
This workshop introduces the technique of image transfers — a process that allows you to move your digital files (photographs, graphics, or text) onto a variety of surfaces, in either color or black and white.
Using transfer film printed with an inkjet printer and a specially prepared paste, you’ll learn how to transfer your images onto surfaces such as paper, wood, metal, and fabric.
Prior to the class, you will send the instructor eight of your own photographs (iPhone images are perfectly fine). These will be printed and prepared in advance so you’re ready to begin working as soon as the workshop starts.
During the session, we’ll cover essential materials, where to source them, and how to use them effectively. While you will be transferring onto paper and wood in class, we will also discuss additional surface possibilities so you can continue experimenting on your own.
Fee: $275 Non-Members | $220 OHCA Members
Materials Fee: $25 (payable to instructor)
Maximum: 10 participants
