Art can be an individual experience, unique to each viewer as it is to each artist who creates it. The creation process can be empowering, cathartic, revelatory, and isolating. As we were in the depths of the pandemic, I felt a strong desire to connect with other artists in a more meaningful way than through a Facebook Like or Instagram Comment. Out of this desire for connection and community, our group was born.
Over the past two years Jackie, Pennie, Tom, and I have seen each other grow creatively, shared triumphs and failures, and connected and commiserated about managing our creative lives. This show is a sampling of what we’ve accomplished with humor, insights, and many talks.
