The focus is not upon the finished work but upon the experience of discovery and making art. \nIn the workshop\, after two or three hours\, the group gathers to discuss what has been created.  The purpose of the discussion is to help each person recognize the beauty in their work. Ann O’Hanlon was alive and at that time the Center was called ‘Sight and Insight.’ On Candis’ first day\, Ann’s suggestion for working was this: “Every decision you make\, try to make the wrong decision.” \nIn 2002\, Candis returned to OHCA to join the mono printing group led by Cayen Robertson and Karen Cox. This class will encourage writing from personal experience in a variety of forms and lengths\, will introduce a range of narrative approaches\, and explore methods for developing a germ of memory into a substantial form. We will also consider the ethical concerns of taking liberty with “the facts” to enhance the story\, (or how much poetic license will the puritanical worm in your brain allow?) The instructor will introduce literary examples and offer prompts for in-class writing.
