She’ll be joined by brilliant young piano “hotshot” Neil Fontano for an afternoon of unforgettable music. \nThe concert celebrates the release of Maria’s critically acclaimed 44th album\, One Hour Mama: The Blues of Victoria Spivey\, now topping the Blues Charts. This will be a rare & special musical event you won’t want to miss!” \nSeating is limited — reserve your tickets early! \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				About Maria Muldaur: \nMaria Muldaur is best known world-wide for her 1973 mega-hit “Midnight at the Oasis\,” which received several Grammy nominations\, and enshrined her forever in the hearts of Baby Boomers everywhere; but despite her considerable pop music success\, her 60-year career could best be described as a long and adventurous odyssey through the various forms of American Roots Music. \nDuring the Folk Revival of the early ’60s\, she began exploring and singing early Blues\, Bluegrass and Appalachian “Old Timey” Music\, beginning her recording career in 1963 with the Even Dozen Jug Band\, and shortly thereafter joining the very popular Jim Kweskin Jug Band\, touring and recording with them throughout the ’60s. \nIn the 50 years since “Midnight at the Oasis” Maria has toured extensively worldwide and has recorded 44 solo albums covering all kinds of American Roots Music\, including Blues\, Gospel\, R&B\, Jug Band\, Jazz and Big Band (not to mention several award-winning children’s albums). She has now settled comfortably into her favorite idiom\, the Blues. Often joining forces with some of the top names in the business\, Maria has recorded and produced on-average an album per year\, several of which have been nominated for Grammys and other awards.

To experiment and discover.\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Thank you to Ann Fricker and Noni Garner for organizing the return to the LOFT Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. \nThe morning starts with a simple exercise or prompt that informs the day. \n$25 non-members | $20 OHCA members.  \nMaterials provided or bring your own. \nWorkshop will be held in the LOFT \nBeginners Expected! \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				LOVING THE SATURDAY WORKSHOP\nThe long-running Visual Perception Workshop is at the heart of O’Hanlon Center. Recently we asked workshop participants for their thoughts. \nI love doing art with friends…and then sharing it! \nI love that it is a drop-in class and\nI don’t have to sign up ahead of time. \nI like that I don’t have to know how to do art…\nIt’s about our own creativity. \nIt is so much fun. \nI love the creative atmosphere. It breeds excitement and enjoyment of the process. \nI like the mix of people and their art. \nIt is free and fun. \nI like that I can get into the flow of art and forget the stressful world. \nI look forward to stepping into another time and place. It is a magical experience to visit this special piece of land at the foot of Mt Tam. \nBeing with people who care about art and artists is something I find worthwhile. I feel lucky to have discovered this class. It informs me well beyond 4 hours on Saturday. \nThis Saturday workshop serves as a tool to open up all of my senses and I  come alive. \nThe setting is gorgeous and serene. \nI love Saturday class.
