DESCRIPTION:For poets and poetry lovers alike \nJoin with OHCA resident poet Cruwys Brown and 2010-2012 Poet Laureate of Marin County\, CB Follett\, for an afternoon of poetry exploration\, reading\, and discussion.  \nSubmit a short (one page max) poem to share and discuss in advance to office@ohanloncenter.org. DESCRIPTION:Set aside your inhibitions and learn to draw!\n6 Wednesdays: April 19 & 26\, May 3\, 17\, 24 & 31. (No class May 10)\n10:00 am to 12:00 pm \n$240 or $190 for OHCA Members \nMaterials Fee:$20 paid to Facilitator 1st day of class \nDrawing is fundamental to any form of visual art and can be the most easily accessible form of individual expression. It is as unique to each artist as a person’s handwriting. \nSet aside your inhibitions and learn to draw! In this beginner class\, we will learn the basics of drawing using a variety of materials\, techniques\, and methods. \nBring your open and curious mind\, a sketchbook (minimum 9” x 12”)\, and your favorite writing tool. All other materials will be provided. After graduating from Scripps College with a Studio Arts Degree\, Naomi worked professionally as a graphic designer /art director in both print and online. \nNaomi is a practicing artist and philanthropist. She is involved in various creative and community endeavors\, most notably serving as a former board chair of O’Hanlon Center for the Arts\, and currently serving as the longest-serving board chair at Youth in Arts in San Rafael. \nAfter raising her family and retiring from commercial work\, she refocused her energies on her many creative pursuits\, including sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for the creative process with others.\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				TICKETS cover all dates in the Series

DESCRIPTION:Explore\, experiment\, and discover your unique form of creative expression. \nThe Visual Perception workshops are hands-on creating with materials\, experimenting\, and discovering without dependence on technique. Participants are encouraged to pay attention to what you see\, accept the marks you make\, explore\, experiment\, and discover your unique form of creative expression. \nA simple prompt or exercise is given at the beginning of class. Participants are free to elaborate on their initial efforts or do something else entirely. \nWe end the workshops with a gathering (coming together) of everyone and their work.
