She has been a long time facilitator at the O’Hanlon Center and loves talking with people about their art. \nCandis Cousins works in monoprint\, collage and drawing. For twelve years she was in the monoprint workshop led by Cayen Robertson. When Cayen stepped down five years ago\, Candis began facilitating the workshop. SUMMARY:Monoprinting 8/20/23
DESCRIPTION:WE ARE NOW OFFERING THIS WORKSHOP TWICE A MONTH \nMonoprinting is a playful\, exploratory process requiring neither a press nor a background in art\n \nOn a plate of gel or plexiglass\, images are made with paint\, rollers\, sponges\, netting\, leaves or anything else which might create an interesting pattern. The focus is not upon the finished work but upon the experience of discovery and making art. \nIn the workshop\, after two or three hours\, the group gathers to discuss what has been created.  The purpose of the discussion is to help each person recognize the beauty in their work. Or\, in the words of Ann O’Hanlon\, our purpose is “to look upon a seemingly random work of our own with interest” and with “the same fulfillment… experienced on an unknown wilderness trail.” \nSundays\, 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.\nNoni Garner & Kate Richardson will co-lead this summer Monoprinting workshop on August 20\, 2023\n  \n$55\, $44 OHCA members\, \n$10 materials fee paid to instructor at day of class \n7 people MAX (online registration closes at 3:00pm the prior Friday)\n \nART DETAIL: JANET GREENWOOD \n\n  \nNote: Candis Cousins will return to facilitate the Monoprinting workshop on Sept 17\, 2023. \n  \n
