It breeds excitement and enjoyment of the process. \nI like the mix of people and their art. \nIt is free and fun. \nI like that I can get into the flow of art and forget the stressful world. \nI look forward to stepping into another time and place. It is a magical experience to visit this special piece of land at the foot of Mt Tam. \nBeing with people who care about art and artists is something I find worthwhile. I feel lucky to have discovered this class. SUMMARY:Saturday Perception Workshop
DESCRIPTION:One of the core principles Ann O’Hanlon stressed was learning how to seeFor over 35 years – Saturdays have been a time to put that into practice. To experiment and discover.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Thank you to Ann Fricker and Noni Garner for organizing the return to the LOFT Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. \nThe morning starts with a simple exercise or prompt that informs the day. \n$25 non-members | $20 OHCA members. \nMaterials provided or bring your own. \n  \nAttendees must be fully vaccinated and Masks required indoors \nWorkshop will be held in the LOFT \nBeginners Expected! \n \n \n \n \n \n LOVING THE SATURDAY WORKSHOP\nThe long-running Visual Perception Workshop is at the heart of O’Hanlon Center. Recently we asked workshop participants for their thoughts. \nI love doing art with friends…and then sharing it! \nI love that it is a drop-in class andI don’t have to sign up ahead of time. \nI like that I don’t have to know how to do art…It’s about our own creativity. \nIt is so much fun. \nI love the creative atmosphere. It informs me well beyond 4 hours on Saturday. \nThis Saturday workshop serves as a tool to open up all of my senses and I  come alive. \nThe setting is gorgeous and serene. \nI love Saturday class. I wouldn’t think of missing it. I come every Saturday\, and have for years and years. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n \n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Tuesday Perception Workshop\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n $20.00 – $25.00Price range: $20.00 through $25.00 \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n	\n \n \n \n Member/Non-Member\n \n Choose an optionNon-memberOHCA MemberClear \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n	\n Saturday Perception Workshop quantity\n	\n	\n\n	Add to cart

SUMMARY:Sunday Salon: The Songwriter "Sessions"
DESCRIPTION:Advanced ticket no longer available but you can purchase at the door.\nDoor opens at 4:30 TODAY 😛 \n  \nT \nA Sunday Salon Special Evening: The Singer Songwriter “Sessions”\nSunday September 8th – Doors at 4:40 pm\, Show at 5:00 pm\n$20\, Max 50 ppl\nCome and enjoy an evening of original music by the talented Christopher Smith along with Claudia Russel and Bruce Kaplan. Daniel Patrick will be joining Christopher Smith on the bass. \n\n\n  \n\n\nChristopher Smith is one of the best “under the radar” songwriters in the country. His acoustic based music is grounded in folk roots with american and celtic influences. His musicianship always serves the song\, and his voice is sweet and engaging. What sets Smith apart is the sheer strength of his material. He holds a listener’s attention for song after song because he writes stories that spring from interesting ideas. His songs often blend elements of humor and heart. His sound mixes both classic singer/songwriter and americana. \n\n\n  \n\n\nCalifornia singer/songwriter Claudia Russell and her trusty sidekick Bruce Kaplan traverse a wide Americana landscape\, stopping at wondrous musical landmarks along the way\, tipping their hat to string bands\, blues divas\, jazz cats\, Village folkies\, Bakersfield cowboys and Laurel Canyon troubadours. Driven by Claudia’s expressive voice and distinctive guitar style\, it all comes together beautifully. \n\n\n  \n\n\nClaudia has a knack for crafting tightly written songs that carry you to the sweet spots of life. Bruce’s melodic accompaniment\, on mandolin and electric guitar\, is spot-on. All of this is served up with a generous helping of homespun humor and shaggy dog stories\, making for a heartfelt and humorous show of deeply engaging music. And audiences and critics have taken notice. \n\nTickets: $20 \n\n\nMax 50 ppl \nTickets sold online until 3:00 pm on the date of the event. You can also get your tickets at the door.
