DESCRIPTION:May 28 Workshop has been cancelled.\nSee below for upcoming dates! \n\nA monthly child-led art workshop with seasonal and nature themes layered into the activity \nThe O’Hanlon Loft is a space for children (and grownups) to come get messy\, try new things and have fun. We will experiment with paint\, crayons\, glue\, glitter and found objects depending on the season and age of participants.  \nWorkshop will take place in the O’Hanlon Loft Studio.\n \n$35 per family Plus $5 materials to be paid to instructor day of event \n\nUPCOMING DATES: \nJune 25\, July 30\, August 27\, 2023\n  \n\nINTRO TO CATHERINE \nCatherine is an artist\, mother and health coach. She has enjoyed raising her three children around the world from NYC to Singapore and now Northern California.  \nShe is an advocate of forest school and the arts and loves when the two meet. DESCRIPTION:Light\, tone\, line\, pattern\, mass\, perspective\, abstraction and composition\nMondays: 4 to 5:30 p.m. \n8-WEEK SERIES #3 2023:\n4/17\, 4/24\, 5/1\, 5/8\, 5/15\, 5/22\, 5/29\, 6/5 \nIn this 8-week series we will use a range of drawing materials. Each class will start with a warmup\, and then focus on translating three dimensional objects to a two-dimensional surface\, focusing on light\, tone\, line\, pattern\, mass\, perspective\, abstraction and composition \nMaximum 8 students \nA materials list will be emailed after registration \n$320 or $256 for OHCA members \n  \n\n \nABOUT LAUREL \nLaurel Shear lives and works in the California Bay Area. She opened her first New York solo show\, Daydreaming In My Nightmare\, at Fort Gansevoort in March 2018. Recent exhibitions include Right Here Right Now\, Richmond Art Center and NIAD (Richmond\, CA) My Silences Had Not Protected Me\, For Freedoms\, Fort Gansevoort\, (New York)\, Where Dreams Come True\, TSA LA (Los Angeles)\, Push\, Incline Gallery (San Francisco). She is a former member of the artist run gallery Tiger Strikes Asteroid in Los Angeles. Press for her work includes Artnet\, New York Magazine\, Brooklyn Magazine\, and Luxe Magazine\, among others. She facilitates drawing and painting workshops at O’Hanlon Center for the Arts and serves on the Board.
