Mads has been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition\, and his recordings have received rave reviews in DownBeat Magazine\, Strings Magazine\, Washington Post and San Francisco Chronicle. He has performed with Chick Corea\, Ramsey Lewis\, Kenny Barron\, Paquito D’Rivera\, and he is a member of Bob Weir & Wolf Bros\, appearing on three album releases from Red Rocks and Radio City Music Hall. This will be a rare & special musical event you won’t want to miss!” \nSeating is limited — reserve your tickets early! \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				About Maria Muldaur: \nMaria Muldaur is best known world-wide for her 1973 mega-hit “Midnight at the Oasis\,” which received several Grammy nominations\, and enshrined her forever in the hearts of Baby Boomers everywhere; but despite her considerable pop music success\, her 60-year career could best be described as a long and adventurous odyssey through the various forms of American Roots Music. \nDuring the Folk Revival of the early ’60s\, she began exploring and singing early Blues\, Bluegrass and Appalachian “Old Timey” Music\, beginning her recording career in 1963 with the Even Dozen Jug Band\, and shortly thereafter joining the very popular Jim Kweskin Jug Band\, touring and recording with them throughout the ’60s. \nIn the 50 years since “Midnight at the Oasis” Maria has toured extensively worldwide and has recorded 44 solo albums covering all kinds of American Roots Music\, including Blues\, Gospel\, R&B\, Jug Band\, Jazz and Big Band (not to mention several award-winning children’s albums). She has now settled comfortably into her favorite idiom\, the Blues. Often joining forces with some of the top names in the business\, Maria has recorded and produced on-average an album per year\, several of which have been nominated for Grammys and other awards.

DESCRIPTION:Please join us at a book reading and signing for Potter Wickware’s newly released book “Selected Writings”\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				“Selected Writings: Potter Wickware” is a compendium of published and unpublished work by an adventuresome and skilled writer who is also an O’Hanlon Center board member.   Potter will read from the book\, we’ll have a Q&A\, and he’ll sign copies of his book (paperback\, 84 pages\, $20). \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				RSVP to office@ohanloncenter.org\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				The book is illustrated with photographs and contains: \n\n3 short stories published in literary journals (Catamaran and Threepenny Review)\nNon-fiction and memoir\, including an excerpt from “Crazy Money: Nine Months on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline” (Random House\, 1979)\nFiction\, excerpts from I’m Still Here\, a novel“Three Hundred Hours\,” a major piece in the East Bay Express from 1985 and more!\n\nThe book was designed by Jeremy Thornton.
