Nina will be join by multi-instrumentalist and composer Yaz Shehab. \nTogether we will mark the turning of the sun through guided meditation\, meaningful ritual\, uplifting chants and songs that calm the mind\, quiet the heart and uplift the spirit.  The evening will unfold as a time to pause\, reflect\, and align with the fullness of light within and around us.   \nThe evening will also be a celebration of Nina’s recently released album By This Light\, Nina’s debut album of chants and blessings. Through the hands of world renown producer of spiritual music\, Ben Leinback\, and featuring some of the Bay Area’s finest instrumentalists and vocalists\, By This Light\, blends the wisdom of Buddhist teachings with the joy of kirtan\, the uplifting rhythms of world music\, and the trance inducing power of layered vocal harmonies. \nThis is a relaxed\, participatory gathering. Her book\, A Big New Free Happy Unusual Life\, was published by Broadway Books and her stories and articles have appeared in numerous anthologies and journals. \nWise’s immersive theater piece The Kepler Story\, created in collaboration with California Academy of Sciences Morrison Planetarium\, is the first theater piece ever created about an astronomer for domes.
