Both projects were juried into the annual O’Hanlon Fiber Arts Show: “Coral Reef”\, exhibited in 2024 and “Wild Garden”\, exhibited in 2025.In addition to crochet\, Sarah enjoys embroidering on paper and fabric\, as well as creating textile collages inspired by traditional quilting. Naomi likes to try all fiber arts\, but mainly crochets\, knits and sews\, when she’s not drawing or painting. Drawing on their distinct passions and skills\, Sarah and Naomi each bring a unique and inspiring stamp to their sewing and stitching projects.

Raised in a household alive with Big Band jazz and classical dance\, her artistry was shaped early on by the sounds of Ella Fitzgerald\, Duke Ellington\, Stan Kenton\, and Woody Herman\, as well as the influence of singer-songwriters such as Joni Mitchell\, James Taylor\, and Rickie Lee Jones. Mads has been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition\, and his recordings have received rave reviews in DownBeat Magazine\, Strings Magazine\, Washington Post and San Francisco Chronicle. He has performed with Chick Corea\, Ramsey Lewis\, Kenny Barron\, Paquito D’Rivera\, and he is a member of Bob Weir & Wolf Bros\, appearing on three album releases from Red Rocks and Radio City Music Hall. Both projects were juried into the annual O’Hanlon Fiber Arts Show: “Coral Reef”\, exhibited in 2024 and “Wild Garden”\, exhibited in 2025.In addition to crochet\, Sarah enjoys embroidering on paper and fabric\, as well as creating textile collages inspired by traditional quilting. Naomi likes to try all fiber arts\, but mainly crochets\, knits and sews\, when she’s not drawing or painting. Drawing on their distinct passions and skills\, Sarah and Naomi each bring a unique and inspiring stamp to their sewing and stitching projects.

Sarah and Naomi enjoy the camaraderie of stitching with others. While we can support you in your endeavor\, we are not prepared to instruct\, just share in the journey with you.  \nO’Hanlon Members Free non-members drop in charge $10 \nParticipants must bring their own materials \nMax 8 participants\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				About Sarah McNeil and Naomi Tamura \nSarah McNeil and Naomi Tamura have enjoyed creative partnership through two successful group crochet collaborations with fellow O’Hanlon members. Both projects were juried into the annual O’Hanlon Fiber Arts Show: “Coral Reef”\, exhibited in 2024 and “Wild Garden”\, exhibited in 2025.In addition to crochet\, Sarah enjoys embroidering on paper and fabric\, as well as creating textile collages inspired by traditional quilting. Naomi likes to try all fiber arts\, but mainly crochets\, knits and sews\, when she’s not drawing or painting. Drawing on their distinct passions and skills\, Sarah and Naomi each bring a unique and inspiring stamp to their sewing and stitching projects.
