Intro to Modern Calligraphy w/ BEN YATES
January 19 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pointed pen relies on varying pressure to create thin and thick lines that come together to make bold, graceful letterforms. This individualistic update on classic lettering follows the principles of earlier scripts but is easily adaptable to your own style for use on invitations, informal business announcements, or notes to friends and lovers. Ben’s knowledge and enthusiasm make his classes energetic and fun.
Beginners are welcome, as are experienced students looking to add more flair to their lettering. Everything you need will be provided—pen, paper, and ink—all yours to keep and use at home. Right-handed? Left-handed? Never used a pointed pen before? No worries! Come as you are and create something lovely.
$165, $132 OHCA members, All materials included.
