Crayon Craft for Kids 5 and up! w/ CHRISTIE CRAPETICO “EmoWeasel”

July 22 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

In this Zoomed class we will be making our crayon art piece look old and worn,
like an old treasure map.

You will need an adult to help with the ironing part.

In the beginning of class the students will have the option to draw whatever they want, or follow along with what I’m drawing.

Supplies you will need:

  • Crayons
  • Newspaper
  • Paper bag, preferable a grocery store bag, or toned paper
  • Clothes iron

About the Facilitator Christie Crapeticio (EmoWeasel)

I am a San Francisco-based illustrator. I create web comics, dark illustrations, pattern designs, and cartoons. I studied at the Academy of Art University for six years. I majored in comics and minored in children’s book illustration.

When I’m working on a piece I usually work in pen and ink. I believe the texture of the pen adds more to the story than color can. Most of my work is done black and white, but when I do use color it is usually digital over the pen and ink. I sometimes dabble in other mediums such as oil paints, color pencils, and gouache paints.
