Artist Talk: William Underhill

August 18, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Seeking Form and Meaning

Bill Underhill born 1933 in Berkeley, a student of Richard O’Hanlon in the 50’s  and now living in New York State, will share memories about his times with O’Hanlon, and will give a visual presentation of his own work as a sculptor and artist-craftsman. Underhill calls himself a craftsman because his major body of work is in cast bronze vessels. His sculpture includes both abstract steel pieces and representational  figure works. Underhill taught at Alfred University in New York and is represented in private and public collections including a ceramic sculpture in the O’Hanlon Sculpture Garden.
