OHCA Announces Staff Transition

August 5, 2019 – One of O’Hanlon Center’s two co-directors, Kellan Christopher, has decided to leave his staff position in early Fall 2019 to pursue new professional endeavors.

In a recent announcement to members, Board President Naomi Tamura shared that “Kellan has been an instrumental part of the dynamic duo that has helped us close out our first 50 years on a high note while shepherding us into our next 50. We will greatly miss him.”

Kellan also shared some thoughts with the members: “The past 4 1/2 years working at O’Hanlon Center for the Arts have been deeply rewarding, stretching me in new and creatively challenging ways. My decision to move on now, while difficult, is important for me personally, and I believe it will ultimately be good for the Center as a whole. While I will have the chance to explore new professional creative avenues, O’Hanlon will also receive an influx of new energy, ideas and talent.

“I have such gratitude for the passionate leaders I’ve been privileged to work with on our Board and Committees. Most importantly, I want to express my deep appreciation to my co-director, Erma Murphy, whose boundless energy, dedication & skill has been so vital to the success we’ve all achieved together.

“Part of the reason I know this a good time for me to depart is that we have such strong continuing leadership from Erma, your Board, and the dedicated volunteers who keep this place thriving. “

Ms. Tamura added “Even though we will miss Kellan, we know he will continue to bring his talents and passion for the arts and building a strong community to his next endeavor.”

A job posting for Co-Director for Operations has been posted on the O’Hanlon website, ohanloncenter.org/employment
