ABOUT THE TEACHERS
Jackie La Lanne
Jackie La Lanne is an art teacher in the Mill Valley School district and a Board member of O’Hanlon. She graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Studio Art and a Masters Degree in Art Education. She loves teaching art and making photographs, which she says have a lot in common: discovering, making, envisioning, sharing, and having fun. LaLanne, who can often be found in the artroom wearing the earrings she made from her old bike lock keys, has been teaching elementary art curriculum in Mill Valley public schools for many years. She is an accomplished artist, teacher, and photographer and has created wonderful collaborative textile projects for her two grandchildren.
Matt Biasotti grew up in Marin, graduated from Marin Catholic in 2016 and is currently studying ceramics at Montana State University. He has been a ceramics teacher for Summer Camp at Marin Catholic for 7 years starting in 2012. His own ceramics have been shown in group shows at 142 Throckmorton Theatre, Collage of Marin, Marin Civic Center, in the Deans Gallery at MSU and the Waller-Yoblonsky Gallery. In addition to his passion for ceramics, Matt is an avid golfer.
The Young Artist Creativity Camp is supported by a generous grant from The Outdoor Art Club.
