Located on the grounds of O’Hanlon Center for the Arts, Loka (Tibetan for "special place") Retreat Center in Marin County, California, is a split-level 1,100 square-foot building offering abundant natural light, scenic views, and privacy. This building provides a wonderful setting for your next annual meeting, organizational retreat, special event, private class, rehearsal, or workshop.

The main work area on the upper level features open space and high ceilings. Sliding glass doors access a canopied deck with a dramatic view of Cascade Canyon in Mill Valley.  This level also includes storage areas and a sink.

Facilities in the lower level include a kitchenette, bathroom, and an additional meeting and dining area.

Testimonials of the space glow with accolades. One writer exclaimed after a retreat in Loka, “The place was perfect; sunny, airy with a beautiful view of the lush tree tops through the glass panels. I loved the bamboo floor: smooth, light brown panels with a beautiful sheen. The place had a feeling of a large dance studio--I felt like getting up and twirling around. I think the writing retreat is a great place to jump start a project or delve into it. Loka is a perfect place for many kinds of retreats—writing, music, dance, yoga.” - Esti Skloot, Mill Valley

Creative Team-Building Retreats

An alternative to coordinating use of Loka for your organizational retreat is to let us arrange your day away from the office.  Reserve a Creative Team-Building Retreat, facilitated by artists from O’Hanlon Center for the Arts.

Creative Team-Building Retreats are based on the understanding that everyone can be creative.  Releasing this potential not only leads to individual fulfillment, but can elicit greater contributions and commitments to work and community.

Your group will spend a day engaged in outdoor activities, workshops, group games, and multimedia art projects designed to reinforce the mission and goals of your organization.

Our facilitators have extensive backgrounds in team-building programs.  They are eager to bring these skills to Loka’s inspirational setting and to work with your organization.
