Reception: Tuesday, September 7, 6 to 8 p.m.
Juror: Chester Arnold, SFAI MFA, Acclaimed Painter and College of Marin Professor in Drawing, Painting, Design, and Color Theory
Entry Fee: $25 for O’Hanlon Center for the Arts Members, $30 for non-Members, for up to three pieces.

O’Hanlon Center for the Arts invites artists to submit work for our September 2010 show “Bay Area Men Artists”, a complimentary show to our August 2010 exhibition, “Bay Area Women Artists.” See entry dates below.

Media: Any media with emphasis on exploration, abstraction, and imaginative use of materials and content. Traditional landscapes, figurative work and realism discouraged. Juried-in pieces must be ready to display, with any necessary hanging material in place, and instructions. All works must be labeled with artist’s name, telephone, email address, medium, size, and price, if for sale. Please do not submit artwork that has previously been displayed in OHCA’s Gallery shows.

By taking part in the show, artists agree to a 30% tax-deductible donation to the Center from all sales.

Dates for exhibition entries: Please hand-deliver (no slides or photos) up to three pieces of work to O’Hanlon Center for the Arts, 616 Throckmorton Avenue, Mill Valley, on Wednesday, September 1, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. or on Thursday, September 2, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Entries will not be accepted for consideration if they are not ready for display when received. We will notify you (preferably by email) about whether your work has been accepted by Monday, September 6 at 5 p.m.

Those works not accepted must be picked up by Tuesday, September 7 between noon and 8 p.m., unless alternative arrangements are made. There is a limit of three works per artist. Please include biographical information, artist statements, and your email address if you have one. When you drop off your art, we will give you information about hanging/showing and Gallery policies.

Gallery Requirements are that Insurance coverage is provided by the Artist and that accepted work must remain on view for the duration of the exhibition. Open to all artists aged 18 and over.

Retrieval of Unsold Artwork: Unsold work must be picked up on Thursday, September 30 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., or on Friday, October 1, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Artists leaving their work after this time will be charged $5/ day storage.

Eligibility: Open to all artists aged 18 and over in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are inviting the submission of art quilts of original design. They may be abstract or representational; quilts which may include elements from other art forms; and those which are significant, unique adaptations of traditional designs or techniques.
